Happy Sunday evening my bookish friends!
I’m happy to announce that I am finally back into my blogging groove! After my horrible blogging month in October, I’m ready to take November by storm… We had a pretty low key Friday & Saturday, which means I got to work on some blog posts that I haven’t had the time to work on. I am so excited to share my experience at the Books by the Banks book festival and my second Kids’ Corner feature. Be on the look out for them later this week!
Let’s see what I got accomplished this past week…
*Weekly Wrap-Up is a weekly post where I feature what posts were published on the blog for the past week, any bookish/blog happenings, what I recently finished reading, what I am currently reading, and what I will be reading next.
This week on the blog:
Monday 10/31
Book Tag: The Halloween Book Tag
Tuesday 11/1
October 2016 Wrap-Up + Book Haul
Wednesday 11/2
Thursday 11/3
Book Review: The Book of Esther by Emily Barton
Bookish/Blog happenings:
I won the Spooktastic Giveaway hosted by Rachel @Life of a Female Bibliophile last week and my goodies arrived on Monday. Happy Halloween to me 🙂
Recently finished reading:
» Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
» The Halloween Tree by Ray Bradbury
Currently reading:
» The Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead
» The Vault of Dreamers by Caragh M. O’Brien
On deck:
» The Girl From Everywhere by Heidi Heilig
How was your week?
What are you currently reading?
What will you read next?
Have a wonderful week, and happy reading
Ooh I’m really curious to see what you think of the Underground Railroad – I’ve had my eye on that book since it’s come out. I can’t really fit it into my TBR at the moment but nonetheless! I’m also pretty interested to see what you think of the Girl from Everywhere (mostly because I really like the cover so therefore the book has to be good, that’s how these things work, right?)
Also – go you!! That looked like an awesome giveaway to win *claps*

I’ve been wanting to read a historical fiction that revolves around the underground RR forever! I had high hopes for The Mapmaker’s Daughter, which I read earlier this year, but no dice.
I’ve head really good things about The Girl from Everywhere and completely agree that the cover is on point 🙂

That’s a shame about The Mapmaker’s Daughter – I really like the title and that totally is my main reason for wanting to read it haha

I’m still trying to get through How to Hang a Witch. So busy and stressed. Like you said, I’m hoping November will be so much better for me. Especially in reading. I’ll be reading Miss Peregrine’s next!

Welcome back to the regular groove! It feels good to be back in a routine, doesn’t it? I got a bit off last week, but I’m hoping my schedule will catch up again soon. I look forward to hearing what you think about The Underground Railroad. And congrats on winning the giveaway! So many fun new books.

I hope you have a more productive week this week!
The URR is going well so far, I have a feeling this is going to be one of those “difficult to read” book, but typically those are the ones that are the most important to read.

I completely understand what you mean. I’ve saved all of those for the end of the year when it comes to my reading challenges, and I have a bit of regret. Oops! I hope that when you finish reading it, you find it was all worthwhile.
