June18TBR

Since it’s almost half way through June already I debated about even posting my June TBR… but better late than never right?  I’ve actually already read (or started) a few of these books, so at least I can say I am on track this month.

Here are the books on my June TBR…

May 2018 Bookish Wrap-Up + Book Haul

May18WU.jpg

Wowzer is this post late, BUT I have a good excuse this time!  I was out of town for 9 whole days of vacation bliss.  My family took a beach vacation to Charleston, South Carolina this past week.  I’d never been to Charleston before, but quickly fell in love with its Southern charm, amazing sea food, beautiful buildings, and great beaches.  A good time was had by all.

It was a little tough to come home since Ohio decided to regress back to spring like weather.  Today it is 69 degrees and raining… this is not typical June weather.  Take me back to the sunshine & warm weather!

Let’s see which books I read in the month of May…

Most Anticipated YA Sequels of 2018 (June – December)

YAseq2018

It’s crazy to think we are already halfway through 2018 already.  Despite the fact that winter drug on FOREVER, this year is flying by!

Surprisingly, 2017 was a good YA reading year for me.  For the past few years, I’ve often felt that YA it fairly hit of miss for me, so I was delighted to find so many great YA books that I enjoyed so much last year.  I noticed that many of these books had sequels coming out the second have of this year, so I thought I would share which ones I am most looking forward to.

Here are the 8 YA sequels releasing in the second half of 2018 that I am most anticipating…

Bookish Weekly(ish) Wrap-Up: 4/30 – 5/20/18

BWWU12

Hi, my name is Amanda and I am currently getting my butt kicked by life.

How the heck is everyone?  Sorry for yet again going MIA around here.  My schedule has been full of my kids’ end of the school year activities and continued work on our new home.  Why must there be so much going on at the end of the school year?  Final projects, exams, recitals, conferences, etc.  May is really just torture for parents…  As far as the house goes, we’ve been busy working on the outside of our new home: landscaping, power washing, painting, etc.   All the things we were unable to get done since we moved in during the winter months.  To say May has been crazy, is an understatement.  BUT there is light at the end of the tunnel!  We will be going on vacation the first week of June.  I am counting down the days until I’ll be on a beach with a book in my hand 🙂

Let’s talk about what I’ve been reading this month…

*Bookish Weekly Wrap-Up is a weekly post where I feature what posts were published on the blog for the past week, any bookish/blog happenings, what I recently finished reading, what I am currently reading, what I will be reading next, noteworthy posts around the bookish blogosphere, and any interesting bookish articles I came across.

I’d consider my April TBR an EPIC fail… Of the 6 books on my to-read list, I finished 2, DNF 2, and am currently reading 1.  Oops.

May is going to be different!  I am determined to get my reading back on track & continue clearing out my review books.

Continue reading to see what I am planning on reading this month…
