Happy Sunday bookworms!

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend.  We had a low key weekend, which is much appreciated as our next two weeks are going to be a little hectic with house guests & leaving for vacation.  I honestly cannot believe we are now in the last week of June!  Why must the summer fly by, while the winter drags on forever?

Let’s see what I had going on this week, shall we?

*Weekly Wrap-Up is a weekly post where I feature what posts were published on the blog for the past week, any bookish/blog happenings, what I recently finished reading, what I am currently reading, what I will be reading next, noteworthy posts around the bookish blogosphere, and any interesting bookish articles I came across.

Kids’ Corner: #BabyLove: My Toddler Life by Corine Dehghanpisheh

BabyLoveMyToddlerLife

When I read the description for #BabyLove: My Toddler Life, I was very intrigued with the overall moral of the story:  to put down our phones (and/or other devices) and focus on our loved ones.  In this new technology savvy era full of mobile devices and social media, it has now become the norm for parents to share important milestones in their children’s lives via social media.  But at what point does it cross the line from occasionally updating family & friends to oversharing?  While you are busy taking multiple pictures, uploading to social media, and monitoring how many “likes” the picture of you and little Johnny at the zoo gets, are you in fact missing out on the memory itself?  What an interesting concept for a children’s book!

Book Event: Lisa Jewell’s “I Found You” Book Tour

IFoundYouBookTour

Earlier this year I read Lisa Jewell’s The Girls in the Garden and really enjoyed it!  So when I found out that Lisa Jewell would be coming to a city near me on June 3rd for her U.S. book tour for I Found You, I quickly made plans to attend…

Happy Sunday bookworms!

To those of you in the U.S, happy Father’s Day!  Hopefully everyone was able to celebrate with the important father(s) (and/or father figures) in their lives.  For those of you who are missing their fathers/father figures for one reason or another, I hope you find comfort today.

This week I really worked on getting back into the swing of things after being gone for a little over a week.  I was able to get a few posts up, read some amazing posts from my fellow book bloggers (a few of which I feature in this post), and finished two books.

Let’s see what I had going on this week, shall we?
