This week’s theme is…

April 19th: Favorite LGBTQ+ Reads
–Talk about your favorite books that feature LGBTQ+ characters or are by LGBTQ+ authors.

I decided for this topic, I would be featuring books with LGBTQ+ main characters, as opposed to secondary & supporting characters.  I will admit that books that feature LGBTQ+ main characters has been a big gap in my reading.  I have made a conscious effort to change this over the past year.

Here are a few books with LGBTQ+ main characters that I would recommend…

This week’s theme is…

April 5th: Top SFF Books on Your TBR *Booktube SFF Awards Babble Crossover Topic!*
–Talk about the science fiction and fantasy books you want to read ASAP!

If you remember, a few weeks ago (all the way back to March 8th) the theme for T5W was “Favorite Science Fiction & Fantasy Books.”  Unfortunately, my list for this topic only included fantasy books as science fiction is not a genre I frequent.  If you are curious, you can read my post here →Top 5 Wednesday: Favorite Fantasy Books.  Anyways!  I vowed in that post to make reading more science fiction a priority this year.

Here are my top science fiction books that I would like to read this year…

This week’s theme is…

March 8th – Favorite Science Fiction & Fantasy Books *BooktubeSFF Awards Crossover Topic!*
–In collaboration with the BooktubeSFF Awards, talk about your favorite science fiction and fantasy books of all time!

I must admit, science fiction and fantasy are not genres that I have frequented in the past, which is a shame.  Over the past year, I have been visiting more and more fantasy books, but still find that I am not reaching for science fiction.   I definitely want to make an effort to explore more into the realm of science fiction this year.  Since I’ve hardly read any science fiction, my list is made up of fantasy novels.

In no particular order, here are a few of my favorite fantasy novels…

It has been a hot minute since I’ve participated in a T5W, but I liked this week’s theme, so here we are 🙂

This week’s theme is…

January 25th: Favorite Underrated Books
-Give some love to those books that aren’t as widely talked about. Those hidden gems. Those books that maybe used to be popular but people have forgotten about and they still deserve some love.

I decided to spin this one to books that have under 6,000 ratings on Goodreads and limit it to books published in 2016.  Theses are books that I read and enjoyed in 2016, but that I feel are not getting the attention they deserve…

This week’s theme is…

September 7: Characters You’d Want as Family
– You can say this in a broad way or be specific (i.e. _______ would be a cool aunt, ______would be a great older brother, etc.)

There are so many great characters to choose for this week’s theme, therefore I thought I would narrow it down and only select characters from books that I’ve read thus far in 2016…
