This week’s theme is…

September 7: Characters You’d Want as Family
– You can say this in a broad way or be specific (i.e. _______ would be a cool aunt, ______would be a great older brother, etc.)

There are so many great characters to choose for this week’s theme, therefore I thought I would narrow it down and only select characters from books that I’ve read thus far in 2016…

This week’s theme is…

August 31st: Books You Will Never Read
–Whether it’s from a series that you have outgrown or don’t wish to continue, or they are popular books that just don’t interest you, let us know what you don’t plan on reading.

There are many books that I have no interest in ever reading, however for this week’s theme I thought I would chose books that I will never read because they are too disturbing.  I would like to add a disclaimer that I am not saying these are “bad books,” just that I have no intention of reading them because I am overly sensitive with the subject matter.  Actually, most of the books on this list have very high ratings…

August 24th: Books You Want to Read Before the End of the Year

Can I just say all the books?!  Ideally I would like to read another 25 books before the end of the year, but that may be a little ambitious… We shall see how it pans out.  Since there are a ridiculous amount of books that I would like to read before the end of the year, I am going to narrow this down to books that were released in 2016.  Here are 5 books that I want to read before 2017 rolls around…

August 17th: Favorite First Sentences

To me, great opening lines are the kind that jump out and grab your attention.  Here are a few books with opening lines that have stuck out in my mind…

This week’s theme is…

August 3rd: Books You Feel Differently About
— Talk about the books that you feel differently about after you’ve had time to think about them or re-read them. These are books that you gave a low rating, and then thought about it or re-read it and ended up loving. Or a book that you loved when you first read it, but after you’ve thought about it or you’ve gotten older, you see how many problems it had.

Yeah I really wasn’t feeling this week’s theme.  The only book I could really think for this one would be the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer.  I read this series when I was 19 and aside from the fact I didn’t think the writing was particularly good, I enjoyed the storyline.  Now looking back as an adult, I realize how co-dependent Edward and Bella’s relationship was.  Funny how these things don’t really become clear until you’ve had more life experience huh?

I decided to a past T5W post, so I am going to chose one from February 2015…

Books That Take Place in Your Country/Region/or Area

Since I am from the United States, I thought I would narrow it down to the state I live in, Ohio…
