Kids’ Corner: Beautifully Different by Dana Salim + Author Q&A + #Giveaway

I am back today with another installment within my Kids’ Corner division of my blog!  I was given the opportunity to read & review Dana Salim’s Beautifully Different, a children’s picture book that teaches children that our differences are what make us special & beautiful.  Dana was also gracious enough to answer a few questions for me about her writing, her publishing company (DS Publishing), and diversity within children’s books.   There is also an opportunity to win a copy of Beautifully Different!

And Happy Mother’s Day to all those celebrating here in the U.S.  I will be spending the day with my family, then tonight I will be off to enjoy my Mother’s Day present, which happens to be concert tickets to see Red Hot Chili Peppers tonight in Columbus!  Sounds like the perfect Mother’s Day to me 🙂

This week was a little less productive than I wanted due to the fact that I caught a nasty stomach bug and was down for the count for 3 days.  I did get a decent amount of reading done, but I didn’t get as much done on my backlist of book reviews to write than I was planning on.  Must. Write. Book. Reviews. #TheStruggleIsReal

Today I am happy to announce that I am hosting my first ever giveaway here on the blog!  Back on November 10th, I had the pleasure of seeing Tiffany McDaniel, author of The Summer That Melted Everything, at my local Books & Co. here in Ohio.  This was actually my second time meeting Tiffany, the first time being at the Books by the Banks book festival, which you can read about here → Book Event: Books by the Banks Book Festival.  Since it was my second time seeing her, I already had a signed copy of The Summer That Melted Everything, so I took this opportunity to pick up another signed copy to give away on the blog.
