Did everyone have a good weekend? Did you read any good books?!
I had a fairly busy week full of hosting my book club (we read Homegoing & it was an excellent discussion), attending a concert (Rob Zombie! It was my first heavy metal concert & quite an experience), and even attended an 80s themed party (it was totally tubular). Despite my busy week in real life, I still managed to get some posts up on the blog & read 3 (almost 4) books this week! Yay me 🙂
Let’s see what I got accomplished…

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. We had a low key weekend, which is much appreciated as our next two weeks are going to be a little hectic with house guests & leaving for vacation. I honestly cannot believe we are now in the last week of June! Why must the summer fly by, while the winter drags on forever?
Let’s see what I had going on this week, shall we?

To those of you in the U.S, happy Father’s Day! Hopefully everyone was able to celebrate with the important father(s) (and/or father figures) in their lives. For those of you who are missing their fathers/father figures for one reason or another, I hope you find comfort today.
This week I really worked on getting back into the swing of things after being gone for a little over a week. I was able to get a few posts up, read some amazing posts from my fellow book bloggers (a few of which I feature in this post), and finished two books.

Well I’m happy to report that I am back after a little hiatus around the blogosphere for the past 2 weeks. After only being home one day this week after going out of town for my son’s football camp, then for a long weekend trip with my husband’s side of the family, I am ready to get back into the swing of things around here…
