Happy Sunday bookworms!

I am bound and determined to get this post up BEFORE Sunday evening for once… Typically it goes up so late on Sunday evening, so late that often it is almost Monday by the time I actually get it posted.  Sundays are typically filled with one of my son’s sporting events.  Now that football is over, wrestling is in full swing.  Not sure if anyone is familiar with how wrestling meets work, but basically you sit around for 5 hours to watch your kid wrestle 3 matches for a total of 10 minutes tops.  As you can imagine, this eats up a lot of my time on a Sunday.  This weekend we had a break in the schedule, resulting in a rare Sunday at home.  I cherish these days!  I know my fellow parents can probably relate 🙂

*Weekly Wrap-Up is a weekly post where I feature what posts were published on the blog for the past week, any bookish/blog happenings, noteworthy posts around the bookish blogosphere, what I recently finished reading, what I am currently reading, and what I will be reading next.

Book Review: Since She Went Away by David Bell

SinceSheWentAwayCov.jpg

I picked up Since She Went Away as part of my Books by the Banks TBR.  David Bell attends the BBTB book festival every year as Cincinnati, Ohio is his hometown.   Convenient right? Obviously being within an hour away from Cincinnati myself, I had heard of David Bell before, but I just hadn’t gotten around to reading any of his work.  The BBTB was the push I needed to finally pick up one of his books.  As Since She Went Away was release in June, this was the book that he was promoting at the festival.

Book Review: The Vault of Dreamers (The Vault of Dreamers #1) by Caragh M. O’Brien

thevaultofdreamerscover

I requested this one during my “NetGalley rampage” back in March/April.  If I am being honest here, I have no clue why I requested this book for review.  YA science fiction isn’t a go-to genre for me by any means… but something about that cover and the synopsis that convinced me to push that request button…

Happy Sunday bookworms!

I hope to find everyone well this evening.  Did everyone have a good weekend?  It is getting to the point that my weekends are so hectic that I actually welcome the start of the week.  I never thought there would be a time in my life that I wouldn’t dread Monday’s arrival…
