Happy Sunday bookworms!
To those of you in the U.S, happy Father’s Day! Hopefully everyone was able to celebrate with the important father(s) (and/or father figures) in their lives. For those of you who are missing their fathers/father figures for one reason or another, I hope you find comfort today.
This week I really worked on getting back into the swing of things after being gone for a little over a week. I was able to get a few posts up, read some amazing posts from my fellow book bloggers (a few of which I feature in this post), and finished two books.
Let’s see what I had going on this week, shall we?
*Weekly Wrap-Up is a weekly post where I feature what posts were published on the blog for the past week, any bookish/blog happenings, what I recently finished reading, what I am currently reading, what I will be reading next, noteworthy posts around the bookish blogosphere, and any interesting bookish articles I came across.

Feelings in a few words: liked the dystopian concept; slow start, but pacing gets better; not a fan of the “girl hate” for no reason; cliché at times; enjoyable read, but didn’t knock my socks off
*Full review to come
» The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett
Feelings in a few words: enchanting; subtle “magic”; wonderful character growth; friendship; recommend to nature & animal lovers; wanted a little more from the ending

Ha, I’m not a blog post machine!😂 I did write a discussion about money and blogging which I posted on Sunday but that’ll probably be the last for a while unless inspiration hits me again.😀

Can’t wait to read it this weekend when I blog hop!

Chelsea’s “FAQ” feature is just wonderful! I wish she would have had this when I first started haha. I am also attempting to get back in the swing, but it is going to be a process I think. I am sooo far behind 😛 Have a great week Amanda!

I love when the “veterans” or those who have found a little more “success” give tips… I still haven’t figured it all out, so I really appreciate these types of posts 🙂

Yes! I am learning so much every day. Every time I feel like I have it dialed, I realize I know so little haha.

You’ll be in for a treat with Homegoing! The pace isn’t all that fast, but it was such a wonderful historical fiction read! I hope you will enjoy it and have a wonderful week. ❤

I’m all about HF, so a slower pace doesn’t bother me a bit. I hope to start it this weekend, so fingers crossed it lives up to the hype for me 🙂

As always, I adore your Sunday review posts. You found some really intriguing posts from fellow bloggers to feature! I love seeing all the diversity of the posts you select to highlight here. It makes me feel a bit like a slacker sometimes, honestly, but in a good way. 😉
Welcome back from your week away! I’m sorry you had a less than stellar book read, but I’m glad you enjoyed The Secret Garden. Was this your first time reading it? What inspired you to pick that book up?

Thank you so much Jackie! My Sunday posts are definitely some of my favorite posts to put up because 1) I love sharing what I’m reading and 2) I love highlighting other book bloggers & interesting bookish articles.
The Secret Garden has been on my TBR since I was a kid… I was trying to decide which audiobook I wanted to read next, when I saw that it was Gretchen’s @ChicNerdReads favorite book from childhood, so I decided to finally give it a go 🙂

Absolutely! I think it is such an important post & topic. I actually messaged the link to a friend who is taking a break from book blogging right now and it really resonated with her 🙂

I’ve heard AMAZING things about Homegoing so I hope you enjoy it. (Actually, I’m really glad that you mentioned it in this post since I totally forgot that I need to go by myself a copy.) Right now, I’m kind of feeling slumpy but I’m reading The Leavers by Lisa Ko and Dengeki Daisy (it’s a manga series). ^.^
