Christmas 2016: A Very Bookish Christmas Haul

BookishChristmasHaul.jpeg

Good evening bookworms!

Today I thought I would brag about share my bookish Christmas haul!  My husband really stepped up his Christmas gift giving game this year and totally nailed it.  NOT only did he buy me books off my wish list, but he even took the liberty to buy me a few other bookish goodies.  To say he spoiled me is an understatement.

*Warning: Reading this post may result in envy.  You have been warned.

When I heard Penguin Classics was doing a Brontë sisters box set I knew I had to own it.  If you know me, then you know that Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights are two of my favorite books of all times.  I really like how these covers are on the darker side because they fit the gothic tones of these books.  You can purchase this box set on Amazon here → The Brontë Sisters Boxed Set

» The Puffin in Bloom Collection (Boxed Set): Little Women, Anne of Green Gables, Heidi, and A Little Princess

My husband bought these book letters off Etsy from a seller called SunnyDayGifts.  These look great on my bookshelf!

*The remaining items were not individually photographed because I only can take so many pictures before I have a small human that needs my attention…

» Commonwealth by Ann Patchett

» The Martian by Andy Weir

» Dark Matter by Blake Crouch

» Kindle Paperwhite E-reader

I was WAY overdue for a Kindle upgrade as I owned the original Kindle that I got back in 2009.  It actually worked out great because my old Kindle decided to die the week before Christmas, which was devastating.  I was really hoping I would find a new Kindle under the tree.

  1. Drooooooooool! What a stunning haul you have there! 🙂 I would say I hope you had a fabulous festive period, but it absolutely looks as if you did! 😉 Those book letters are amazing! I’ve had my eye on the Puffin in Bloom series for a while now, too. I may just have to invest in them now as a Start of 2017 present to myself, that’s a thing, right?!

  2. Wow – you have some gorgeous gifts – you must feel so happy! (and indulged :D)
I got quite a few book tokens – I’ve spent some already and I’m holding back a few for the next few months.

  3. Those editions are AMAZING ❤ You're right about the envy… I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. Also, off-topic, but my last read of the year (well, at least, I'm going to start it today) is going to be… Dollbaby! FINALLY haha

  4. Oooh, this is a fabulous haul! The Bronte books and the Puffin in Bloom boxsets are GORGEOUS! I have that same edition of Jane Eyre – now I’m definitely eyeing up the rest of the set. Also, can’t wait to see what you think of Dark Matter – I was so addicted to that book!

      1. I’m just trying her out. The Farseer Trilogy is her first trilogy and I believe the other trilogies (or series? not sure) are connected. I believe it’s best to read her books in order.

  5. So You were NOT kidding when you said he spoiled you! lol Hubby did good! *major brownie points* haha! I Love all the bookish goodies he got you & hope you enjoy them all. The Penguins Puffin In Bloom set has been on my wishlist for a bit now but I never give it priority which is prob why I haven’t purchased it yet. That’s so awesome that you got the new Kindle just in time, I feel your pain! I would’ve been devastated with a lost at sea look on my face haha! This Christmas I didn’t ask for books, cuz i’m all booked out lol. Come Mothers Day though, I make 0 promises! *smirks* LOL
