*This Giveaway has ended*
Today I am happy to announce that I am hosting my first ever giveaway here on the blog! Back on November 10th, I had the pleasure of seeing Tiffany McDaniel, author of The Summer That Melted Everything, at my local Books & Co. here in Ohio. This was actually my second time meeting Tiffany, the first time being at the Books by the Banks book festival, which you can read about here → Book Event: Books by the Banks Book Festival. Since it was my second time seeing her, I already had a signed copy of The Summer That Melted Everything, so I took this opportunity to pick up another signed copy to give away on the blog.

About the Book:
Author: Tiffany McDaniel
Genre: Literary Fiction
Publisher: St. Martin’s Press (July 26, 2016)
Book Synopsis:
Fielding Bliss has never forgotten the summer of 1984: the year a heat wave scorched Breathed, Ohio. The year he became friends with the devil.
Sal seems to appear out of nowhere – a bruised and tattered thirteen-year-old boy claiming to be the devil himself answering an invitation. Fielding Bliss, the son of a local prosecutor, brings him home where he’s welcomed into the Bliss family, assuming he’s a runaway from a nearby farm town.
When word spreads that the devil has come to Breathed, not everyone is happy to welcome this self-proclaimed fallen angel. Murmurs follow him and tensions rise, along with the temperatures as an unbearable heat wave rolls into town right along with him. As strange accidents start to occur, riled by the feverish heat, some in the town start to believe that Sal is exactly who he claims to be. While the Bliss family wrestles with their own personal demons, a fanatic drives the town to the brink of a catastrophe that will change this sleepy Ohio backwater forever.
If you have been following my blog for a while, you have probably seen me rave about this being one of my favorite reads of 2016! You can read my review here → Book Review: The Summer that Melted Everything by Tiffany McDaniel. I also got the opportunity to interview Tiffany, which you can read here → Author Interview: Tiffany McDaniel, Author of The Summer That Melted Everything.

This giveaway will run until Wednesday 11/30/16 at 11:59pm. I will be announcing the winner on Thursday 12/1/16 on Twitter and be contacting the winner by email. This giveaway is limited to U.S. only. I did look into holding an international giveaway, but the shipping cost to ship a 1lb book was crazy! It would probably be cheaper for me to buy a plane ticket and deliver it myself!

😢 Ahhhh I know! I’m so sorry Kirsty. I am thinking about doing another one around Christmas or New Years for all my international friends and just order a book through The Book Depository. I hate that I have to exclude you all!

thank you so much for hosting this giveaway! I’ve wanted to read this book for a while. Before I knew the book would be popular and well-received, I turned down a review request because I was super swamped & could not take any more at the moment, so I missed my chance. But now I have another. Good luck to everyone!

Thank YOU for entering! I think you would enjoy it Naz. Even though it is written by a white author, I think she did a wonderful job tackling topics like racism and homophobia. Good luck!!!🍀

This is SUPER exciting!!! How awesome to have your first giveaway. Plus, a signed book? That’s something I haven’t experienced from a blog before. Super unique! What a great idea.
It’s obvious from your original review that you adored this book. Local authors always seem to be the most overlooked! I have finally added this to my TBR, and I can’t wait to read it. 🙂 Yay!

Thanks so much for the lovely chance, Amanda! I’m going to just watch this time, as I live in Brazil and totally understand your budget limitations! I can’t afford to send things to my friends outside BR as well, it sucks that everything is so expensive!!! =( Good luck to everybody, tho!!

It’s tough! My last giveaway was Canada and US only….and that was tough to do too 😦 I think it’s awesome enough that bloggers like us host giveaways at all though! So don’t feel bad 🙂
