Greetings bookish buddies! It is the last day of June, so that means it’s time for my monthly wrap-up & haul!
Books Read in June:
I managed to read 5 books this month. For as much as I have had going on, I am happy with that number. I am also happy that I read a wide variety of genres this month including a sci-fi, YA fantasy, romance/contemporary, historical fiction, and a YA contemporary. Surprisingly enough, all the books I read in June received a 4 or more star rating from me. That NEVER happens. All in all, June was a good reading month.
Here is what I read in the month of June…
» Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel
» The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
» Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
» June by Miranda Beverly-Whittemore
» Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
June Book Reviews:
Book Review: Hanging Mary by Susan Higginbotham
Book Review: Yes Please by Amy Poehler
Book Review: Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel
Book Review: Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
June Book Haul:
I had put myself on a book buying ban for the month of June… I made it about half way through June before I broke down and purchased some books. Close enough… Actually, I only purchased 2 books in June, so I would call that a success!

*I know I said I only purchased 2 books this month, but I actually bought this book a few months ago when I bought tickets to the Stephen King’s End of Watch book tour… so I didn’t count it. The best part about my June book haul is that 2 of these books are autographed copies! Eek! I won an autographed copy of Dollbaby from Laura Lane McNeal herself when she hosted a twitter giveaway! The second autographed book is The Glittering Court which I won from fellow blogger Deborah @A Chick Who Reads who hosted a giveaway.
Aren’t hey beautiful?! Ahhh I love autographed copies of books!
Wow, you’ve had a great month with loads to look forward to as well!
I have Station 11 (well, in fact I’ve had it for some time) I keep trying to bump it up the list but I’ve been swamped. Nice to see an encouraging review though.

Looks like you had a good June. Station Eleven is on my list of books to buy ASAP lol. I also have Mr. Mercedes & Finders Keepers in my Bookoutlet cart, they will be my first Stephen King books. My June haul is RIDIC! I’m still waiting on 2 books from Bookdepository to arrive so that I can post it but uhhhh I’m going on a book buying ban for July at least 🙈😂🙈😂

The struggle is real! I really enjoyed the Bill Hodges Trilogy! I think it may be his first crossover to crime fiction… Don’t quote me on that though.

I’m so enamored with the books you read this month. I’m waiting for Raven Boys to come off hold at the library. How did you like it?

I actually enjoyed it, which was a pleasant surprise! I’m currently working on my review. Basically I only read this book because Will Patton was the narrator for the audiobook and he is my favorite narrator! I think the synopsis is misleading and not an accurate depiction at all. The plot is actually much more interesting than I thought it would be. I also enjoyed the motley group of characters 😊

Hmm, so what I’m hearing is maybe I should stop waiting for the book and go straight to audio!

If you like Will Patton, then yes 😉. I just think he has such a interesting voice that is perfect for books with eerie undertones!

I don’t really know his narrating work but my husbamd really likes him too.

I think you’re gonna love The Problem With Forever. I sure did. Woah, do you sometimes NOT like a book??? I don’t recall you ever giving one stars or two stars.

It’s very rare for me to give lower than 3 stars HOWEVER I research the books I choose very wisely lol I don’t have time for bad books in my life 😜. I let you all weed out the duds for me 😊

Gosh, you were busy! I read Station Eleven last year and it was one of my favourite reads of 2015. Sucha strange and oddly beautiful story, unlike any other post-apocalyptic fic. I’ve read before.
