Book Tag: This or That Tag

I just realized that I am rather behind on my book tags… Oops!  Time to play a little catch up 🙂

The This or That Tag was created by Ayunda @ Tea and Paperbacks.  Big shout out to Vicki @ The Page Turner for tagging me in this book tag.  I really enjoy reading tags and getting to know my fellow bloggers!

 1.) Reading on the couch or on the bed?

Bed!  Nothing is better than cuddling up in bed with a good book.  The downside to this is that I do tend to fall asleep while reading…I’ve tried to do the whole reading thing on the couch, but it just doesn’t do it for me.

2.) Male main character or female main character?

I tend to read books with female main characters.  Since I am female, I think I just am naturally drawn to female main characters… They are easier to relate to.

3.) Sweet snacks or salty snacks when reading?

I try NOT to snack while reading for a few different reasons.  One, if I snack while reading I tend to overeat.  Two, snacking while reading can make my hands messy and therefore dirty up my precious books with fingerprints.  If I snack while reading, it is generally apple slices, so sweet I guess is my answer.

4.) Trilogies or quartets?

I tend to read stand alone books…but if I have to give an answer quartets?  Why?  No reason other than I like to say the word “quartet.”

5.) First person point of view or third person point of view?

I guess this would depend on if I care about the other characters or not… I am going to go with third person since I typically like to see more of the big picture.

6.) Reading at night or in the morning?

Night!  Who has time to read in the mornings?!  I also like to read in the afternoon while my daughter takes her nap… as long as I don’t have anything more pressing to do 🙂

7.) Libraries or bookstores?

Bookstores.  I love to own my books.  I am a bit of a book hoarder… I have filled up my two floor to ceiling book cases… and I have no idea what I am going to do with any books I buy from here on out.  It has become a problem.  The problem being that I need more book cases 🙂 I aspire to have my own personal library some day.

8.) Books that make you laugh or make you cry?

Cry!  I’m all about books that move me to tears.  I love feeling deep emotions.

9.) Black book covers or white book covers?

White book covers!  I have yet to see another person answer white on this one.  I think white book covers are so bright and clean looking!

 

10.) Character driven or plot driven stories?

This is a really hard question.  I am going to go with plot driven stories.  If the plot is good, I tend to be more forgiving of character flaws…
