Happy Sunday bookish buddies 🙂 Another week has come and gone. Spring has finally come to Ohio and I couldn’t be happier. We spent the entire weekend OUTSIDE! It’s crazy to think that this time last weekend there was a few inches of snow on the ground and today it was 80°F. Needless to say my sinuses are not as happy about the weather change.
Back to bookish business! The rest of my birthday book haul came this week!!!! Here is what I got…
The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah
All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr
Jane Steele by Lyndsay Faye
The Lake House by Kate Morton

Currently Reading…
After seeing so many blogger friends rave about this book, I had to see what the fuss was all about. I am around 40% through this book. The writing is exquisite! I have never read anything by this author, she is very talented.
I am only a few pages into this book, but I have high hopes for it!
I find it very ironic that I was about ready to give up on YA books after my review of The Selection… And here I am reading 2 YA books. I’m really hopeful these books will help restore my faith in the YA genre. I think I am trying so hard with this genre because, from what I have seen, most of my fellow bloggers are YA fans… I don’t want to be the odd man out 🙂
Recently Finished Reading…
Ahhh good ol’ historical fiction. I have very high standards for this genre, and I wasn’t disappointed! It isn’t up there with Outlander or the Into the Wilderness Series, but definitely a solid book. I really enjoyed it 🙂
On Deck…
I will be reading this for my first ever in-person book club! I’ve heard good things about it, so I am looking forward to it 🙂
I absolutely loved All the Light We Cannot See! I also recently purchased Between Shades of Grey which I’ll be reading soon. 🙂 Great book haul!

Wow, I haven’t seen that Lie Tree cover before! Is it the US version? It’s so creepy/pretty! I haven’t read it yet but I’m interested to see what you think as it seems to be a kind of love/hate book from what I’ve seen so far. 🙂

I’m not sure? I believe it is a new hardback edition that is coming out… I couldn’t figure out if I liked the back tree or the apple cover better…
